The Los Angeles Blades ended a three-game losing streak by defeating the Sacramento River Rats, 7-5, in a Roller Hockey International game Sunday night before an announced crowd of 4,263 at the Forum.
Forward Peter Kasowski scored back-to-back third quarter goals for the Blades, who got a goal and three assists from defenseman Terran Sandwith and a goal and two assists from forward Vaclav Nedomansky.
Blade Coach Bobby Hull Jr. said, “This is the first game we played a full 48 minutes. It was clear these guys were really playing from their heart.”
The first half ended 3-3, and Sacramento led, 4-3, in the third quarter before a goal by Mike Doers tied it and Kasowski’s goals gave the Blades the lead for good.
The Blades, with a 5-4-2 record, are tied for second with the Phoenix Cobras in the Pacific Division. The Blades next play the San Jose Rhinos on Thursday night at the Forum.
The River Rats fell to 5-5-3.

Anaheim 13, San Diego 7--The Bullfrogs built an 11-1 lead after three quarters on their way to an easy victory in a fight-marred RHI game before an announced crowd of 9,554 at the Pond of Anaheim.
A total of 28 penalties for 119 minutes were whistled. Three Barracudas and one Bullfrog were ejected, with San Diego recording 70 minutes in penalties. There were even more skirmishes for which no penalties were called.
The Pacific Division-leading Bullfrogs (10-0-1) have been beating up the Barracudas (4-6) all season, and that may explain why San Diego attacked so aggressively from the first faceoff.
