The Orange County Fire Authority helped the U.S. Forest Service battle a 30-acre brush fire Tuesday off Ortega Highway in the Cleveland National Forest, officials said.
The fire started about 11 a.m. in the Cold Springs area off Tenaja Road, a Forest Service spokeswoman said. It was controlled by 1:30 p.m.
A Forest Service air tanker was used in fighting the fire, and the Fire Authority sent 10 engines, a helicopter, bulldozers and a hand crew, Capt. Dan Young said.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
