VENTURA : Doctor’s Widow Sues Former Partner
- Share via
The widow of pediatrician Mark R. Freedenberg is suing his former partner, alleging that he owes her more than half a million dollars for her share of their Ventura County medical clinic.
In a lawsuit filed this week in Ventura County Superior Court, Francene Freedenberg said her husband and Dr. Robert T. Fostakowsky signed an agreement that the surviving partner of their pediatric clinic would pay $500,000 to the other’s estate. She alleges that Fostakowsky refuses to pay the money.
Fostakowsky counters that he only owes $250,000, the proceeds of a life insurance policy the partners took out in Dr. Freedenberg’s name.
Dr. Freedenberg and Fostakowsky owned the Coastal Pediatric Medical Group, with offices in Ventura and Oxnard. Freedenberg died Feb. 17.
