Knickerbocker Reports Boost for the Quarter

RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA — L.L. Knickerbocker Co., which markets a line of celebrity dolls through home-shopping television channels, said Monday that its net income for the second quarter more than doubled to $147,969, or 6 cents a share.
In last year’s second quarter, the company earned $65,006, or 4 cents a share. Quarterly revenue rose 13% to $2.4 million this year from $2.1 million last year.
For the first six months, Knickerbocker’s net income rose 86% to $362,916, or 16 cents a share, from $195,243, or 14 cents a share. Revenue for the period remained flat at $4.3 million.
Knickerbocker’s stock, which rose 43% last week over the previous week, gained an additional $1.125 a share to close Monday at $27.625 a share in Nasdaq trading.
