SANTA ANA — A 42-year-old man was shot to death outside a strip mall after apparently arguing with two or three other men over a restaurant tab, police said Monday.
Police found Santos Flores about 9:30 p.m. Sunday lying in a parking lot in the 1400 block of West McFadden Avenue with three gunshot wounds to his upper body, Police Sgt. Bob Clark said.
Flores, whose address was unknown, died at the scene, Clark said.
Investigators believe a fight broke out about 10 minutes before the shooting between three or four people over a food and liquor bill at a nearby restaurant, Clark said.
Police are seeking the gunman, who fled the scene, and the other men involved in the confrontation.
No weapon was recovered and the slaying did not appear to be gang-related, authorities said.
