Much of Asia’s explosive economic growth since World War II is the work of Japan. The nation has exported capital, technology, factories, railways and highways.
“Just as the world cannot do without Saudi Arabia’s oil, the world cannot do without Japan’s capital,” says Kim Ki Hwan, a former presidential adviser in South Korea.
