HUNTINGTON BEACH — A three-alarm fire swept through a storage complex here Sunday, destroying 30 storage units, according to fire officials.
The blaze started about 4:20 p.m. and quickly engulfed the storage units in the 7600 block of Talbert Avenue, said a spokesman with the Huntington Beach Fire Department.
Firefighters from Huntington Beach sought aid from neighboring Newport Beach, Fountain Valley and Costa Mesa fire departments to help put out the blaze. It took 90 minutes for firefighters from some 19 fire units to extinguish the flames.
The spokesman said that there was no immediate damage estimate, and that the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
