VENTURA : Holiday Street Fair on Council’s Agenda
- Share via
Gearing up for the holiday season, the Ventura City Council will consider a resolution on Monday to close downtown streets for the city’s annual street fair in December.
For the past 20 years, the city has closed off the downtown streets and hosted a holiday festival that traditionally draws thousands.
“We have close to 500 arts and crafts booths,” said Kim Petraitis, a special events assistant for the city.
Council members will consider closing Main Street from 3 to 8 p.m. Dec. 3 on the blocks from Ventura Avenue to Fir Street. They will also consider closing Oak, Palm, California and Chestnut streets from Poli to Santa Clara streets for the street festival.
