Mercado Moves to Site Along El Camino Real

Local merchants and civic groups will have a new site for their booths at this year’s Mercado: Historic Town Center Park property along El Camino Real.
The City Council this week approved the change, which was requested by the Fiesta Assn.
The organization wanted to eliminate closing Ortega Highway during Swallows Day festivities. and free up the Mitchell lot, where the marketplace was previously, for more parking.
The Mercado will be March 23.
