In the consolation games of the North County Classic:
Aliso Niguel 13, Whittier Pioneer 5--Jeff Munsell hit a three-run homer and Ryan Devine went two for two and drove in two runs for visiting Aliso Niguel (2-2).
Canyon 12, La Habra 5--Mike Tomarelli went three for four with two doubles and also pitched the final three innings, striking out one, to earn his first save for host Canyon (3-1), which finished third in the tournament.
In the Chino tournament:
Troy 2, Alta Loma 1--With the score tied at one, Kris Green led off the bottom of the sixth with the game-winning home run for Troy (4-2). Kevin Norcross (1-0) gave up five hits, striking out five.
In the Costa Mesa tournament:
Orange Lutheran 11, Los Amigos 8--Che Holloway went four for five, with two doubles and three runs scored for Orange Lutheran (2-1).
Nick Harris added three hits and two RBIs. Orange Lutheran will play for third place today.
In the Glendora tournament:
Rowland 5, Sonora 5 (8, Sonora advances on total bases)--Ryan Owens hit a home run and a double and David Miller had two hits and an RBI to advance Sonora (2-0-1) to tonight’s championship against Glendora.
Santa Fe Springs St. Paul 6, Fullerton 5 (5, time limit)--Saul Frausto hit a game-winning bases-loaded single to cap a five-run fifth inning for St. Paul (4-1).
In nonleague baseball:
Los Pinos 16, Capistrano Valley Christian 11 (5, darkness)--John Ward had two doubles and one RBI for the visiting Eagles (0-4).
