McPeak and Reno Rebound From Loss to Win Event

In a final featuring two teams headed for the Olympics, top-seeded Holly McPeak and Nancy Reno defeated second-seeded Barbara Fontana Harris and Linda Hanley, 15-11, to win the Evian Women’s Pro Beach Volleyball Tour event in Chicago.
McPeak and Reno, who are seeded second in the Olympics, rebounded from an opening loss to Elaine Roque and Dennie Shupryt-Knoop to split the $15,000 first-place prize money.
McPeak and Reno rallied from a 9-4 deficit to defeat Karolyn Kirby and Angela Rock, 15-11, in a semifinal match.
Fontana Harris and Hanley shared $11,400 for finishing second.
