Carol Burnett to Honor ‘Shakespeare’ Founders

Carol Burnett will honor “Shakespeare on the Meadow” founders Bob Wright and Mimi Wilson at the “Applause! Gala” at a private estate in Rolling Hills on Sunday at 4:30 p.m.
“Shakespeare on the Meadow” brings outdoor Shakespeare plays to the South Bay area.
This year’s production is Shakespeare Festival/LA’s “Othello” at South Coast Botanic Garden in Palos Verdes Peninsula Wednesday-Aug. 4.
Sunday’s gala event will include a reading by the “Othello” cast, strolling minstrels and other entertainment.
