Bullfrogs’ Stewart, Cook Overpower Oklahoma

Forward Glenn Stewart scored four goals and defensemen Joe Cook scored three as the Bullfrogs defeated Oklahoma, 11-7, in a Roller Hockey International game Friday in Oklahoma City.
The Bullfrogs (16-3-2) took a 4-0 lead in the first quarter on Mark Stitt’s two goals and one each from Jim Ficenec and Mark Desantis. Oklahoma (9-9-3) then answered with two goals before Stewart’s first goal gave the Bullfrogs a 5-4 lead at halftime.
Stewart scored 36 seconds into the third quarter and Cook scored to give the Bullfrogs a three-goal lead. Goals from Todd Harris and Joe Burton narrowed the deficit to a goal, but Cook scored twice to give the Bullfrogs another three-goal lead.
Bullfrog Notes
The Bullfrogs traded Darren Banks, a veteran defenseman, to the Long Island Jawz for future considerations and a sixth-round pick in the 1997 RHI draft.
