Hernandez Gives Cuba Another Quarterfinalist
- Share via
Reigning Olympic middleweight champion Ariel Hernandez gave Cuba its fourth quarterfinalist by outpointing Sven Ottke of Germany, 5-0, in a bout roundly booed for its lack of action.
Ottke was on the defensive throughout the fight, and at times frustrated Hernandez, who was only leading, 1-0, after the first round.
Even after Hernandez had increased his lead to 4-0 in the third round, Ottke threw almost no punches.
