ARV Assisted Living Inc.: The Costa Mesa-based operator of assisted living facilities posted a net loss for the first fiscal quarter of $135,000, or 1 cent a share, which included a one-time charge of $386,000 from early retirement of debt. That compares with a net loss of $896,000, or 21 cents a share, for the corresponding quarter last year. Revenue rose to $15.3 million from $4.4 million.
