The Planning Commission will meet tonight to finalize design plans for a $1.8-million community center.
Issues to be ironed out include design of the center’s porch, entry and landscape, as well as building materials, parking lot lighting and a historical photo display to be featured in the center.
Recommendations on these issues will be forwarded to the City Council for approval.
Construction on the center is expected to begin by April 1997 and be completed by December 1997. The 9,180-square-foot building will be next to the new sports park and will include an 1,800-square-foot community hall as well as a game room and lounge for seniors.
The meeting is at 7 p.m. in council chambers, 32400 Paseo Adelanto.
