Redskins Cut James Washington

Veteran safety James Washington, a hero in consecutive Super Bowl victories for the Dallas Cowboys, was cut by the Washington Redskins and indicated he might retire.
Washington, 31, was signed last year as a free agent and started 12 games at strong safety.

Hason Graham returned the second-half kickoff 96 yards for a touchdown and the New England Patriots beat the Dallas Cowboys, 31-7, in an exhibition game at Irving, Tex. . . . The Detroit Lions cut punter Rich Camarillo, who averaged 43.8 yards per kick in two exhibition games.
