Congressional Summit Endorsed by Council

The City Council has passed a resolution endorsing the upcoming Congressional Leadership Summit, a gathering Monday in Los Angeles of all Southern California members of Congress.
The bipartisan session with the theme “California First” is being sponsored by the Southern California Assn. of Governments.
The council’s resolution said the summit could “foster unity” in the Southern California congressional delegation on issues affecting the region. Such issues “can only be successfully resolved when our congressional delegation works together,” the resolution states.
