America Must Keep On Trucking

* Simi Valley Councilwoman Barbara Willimson needs to know that scales are open daily on California 118 outside Moorpark and at the Conejo Grade as well.
The truckers are not idiots. They look at the maps and drive the shortest route to their destination, and the 118 is a direct route from the west end of the San Fernando Valley, Burbank, Glendale, etc.
As far as truckers damaging the Simi Valley Freeway, it was never repaired correctly in the first place. Also each truck on the road pays a weight fee yearly of more than $1,200 to drive on the highways.
The public doesn’t seem to realize that everything is trucked. I’ve never seen a plane deliver food, haul concrete for patios, sand for sand boxes, asphalt to repair freeways. Everything is trucked. The public needs to realize that they cannot stop the trucks, or America will stop.
