Gov. Pete Wilson has appointed the founder of a Van Nuys consulting electrical engineering firm to the state’s Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors, board officials said.
Vincent Di Tomaso opened the Van Nuys firm Di Tomaso & Associates Inc. in 1964. In 1990, he became a principal with the consulting firm of Dalan Engineers in Northridge.
A graduate of Santa Clara University, Di Tomaso has been a member of numerous state engineering groups and a registered professional engineer in California, Nevada and Arizona.
The board, supervised by the state Department of Consumer Affairs, oversees and regulates the licensing of engineers and land surveyors and investigates complaints about possible faulty work.
