Sunstone Completes Cypress Hotel Purchase

SAN CLEMENTE — Sunstone Hotel Investors said Wednesday that it has completed its $21-million acquisition of the 180-room Ramada hotel in Cypress and the 202-room Holiday Inn Harbor View in San Diego. The company has applied to Marriott to convert the Cypress facility to a Courtyard by Marriott.
Sunstone, a real estate investment trust that seeks hotels in western U.S. markets, has acquired or built 16 hotels in less than 18 months.
