Photo Class Will Focus on Portraits

HUNTINGTON BEACH — Students will learn to make professional-looking portraits with inexpensive lighting equipment during a three-session course offered next month by the city Community Services Department.
The class, open to anyone 13 or older, will cover mood lighting, posing, character portrayal and backgrounds. Each student will need a 35mm camera and two rolls of 400-speed film, either color or black and white, to enroll.
The class will be on Wednesdays from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., starting March 5, at the Huntington Beach Art Center, 538 Main St.
The fee is $40, or $35 for Art Center members, plus a $10 model fee.
