This collection, recorded three years ago when Rimes was 11, just entered the national album chart at No. 1. Interest in the teen with the titanium pipes is so high she probably could crack the Top 10 with “LeAnn: The Toddler Tapes.” Actually, the song selection is stronger than on her breakthrough “Blue” album, with pop and country standards and some decent originals that fit better with her goose-bump-inducing belting.
Albums are rated on a scale of one star (poor), two stars (fair), three stars (good) and four stars (excellent).
