Pacific (20-4, 11-3) opened a 25-6 lead and went on to post a 96-46 victory over UC Irvine (1-22, 1-13) to clinch the Western Division title. . . . Richard Brown scored 22 points and Paul Culbertson had 10 points down the stretch to lift Nevada (17-7, 11-3) to a 78-67 victory over Idaho (12-16, 4-10) at Reno.
WEST COAST CONFERENCE
San Diego 64, Pepperdine 56--Brian Bruso scored 13 points at San Diego and a stingy defense helped lead the Toreros (16-10, 8-6) to their fifth consecutive victory. Pepperdine (6-20, 4-10) reached 20 losses for the first time since the 1965-66 season, when the Waves finished 2-24 for the worst record in school history.
San Francisco 81, Loyola Marymount 74--M.J. Nodilo scored every point of a 10-0 run linking the first and second half as the Dons (14-12, 9-5) won at San Francisco for their sixth consecutive home victory. The Lions (6-20, 3-11) lost their seventh in a row.
BIG SKY CONFERENCE
Cal State Northridge 93, Sacramento State 90--Trenton Cross drove the length of the court and put in the game-tying layup with 4.7 seconds to play in regulation and the Matadors began overtime with a 5-0 run en route to victory at Sacramento.
Cross, who had missed two free throws to give the Hornets (3-21, 2-12) a chance to tie the score, had 25 points. Northridge (12-12, 8-6) has won four consecutive games against Division I opponents for the first time in school history.
