ORANGE — Bergen Brunswig Corp. agreed to supply drugs to a giant St. Louis-based nonprofit hospital organization in a deal expected to bring in about $330 million in revenue over five years.
Bergen, a national distributor of drugs and medical supplies, won the business after a competitor failed to provide satisfactory service, according to an official for the hospital organization, BJC Health System.
BJC, which operates 13 hospitals and six long-term-care facilities in Missouri and southern Illinois, also provides care in more than 100 academic and community-based sites.
Bergen stock closed Tuesday at $32 a share, up 62.5 cents on the New York Stock Exchange.
