Tickets Available to Hear Secretary of State

Tickets are still available to hear California Secretary of State Bill Jones speak at a special dinner meeting of the Thousand Oaks Republican Women, Federated on Friday.
Jones, the state’s chief elections official, will discuss election-related issues, including his reform platform targeted at voter fraud.
Jones, a Fresno vegetable farmer and cattle rancher, has also proposed requiring naturalized citizens to present a naturalization number when they vote. He was also a sponsor of the three-strikes bill, Hanley said.
The Thousand Oaks Republican Women, Federated is a grass-roots organization dedicated to educating and informing voters, Hanley said.
The event at the Westlake Inn Restaurant’s Lakeside Room begins at 6 p.m. with a no-host cocktail hour. Dinner begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20 per person. Westlake Restaurant is at 32001 Agoura Road, Westlake. To make reservations, call 497-8762 or 499-7774.
