Police Plan Sobriety Checkpoint for Tonight

The Police Department will set up a sobriety checkpoint at 9 tonight at Placentia Avenue and West 19th Street.
Police said the goal of the checkpoint is to educate motorists about the dangers of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and the importance of wearing seat belts.
The checkpoint is not expected to create traffic delays, officials said. The checkpoint will conclude at 1 a.m. Saturday.
