Among the arid Tehachapi Mountains, between Castaic and Gorman along the Golden State Freeway, sits a tranquil lake with 21 miles of shoreline, where the campgrounds and coves are only reachable by boat. The lake’s name comes from a giant boulder nearby, Pyramid Rock.
