* Re “Planned $38-Million Cut Could Trigger Storm,” April 28: The Times again exposes its political bias--this time when it characterizes the GOP’s vote of $38 million of extra funding for the Women, Infants and Children program as a cut. You categorized it as a cut because the Democrats proposed $76 million. There has been no cut; there are just two proposals, one at half the cost of the other.
And why is more money needed for WIC? Surely, there will be volunteers responding to the president’s call because, according to him, most of us haven’t been good citizens.
