Accident Leaves Boy in Critical Condition

Oxnard police are continuing to investigate a weekend traffic accident that left a 5-year-old Oxnard boy hospitalized in critical condition, authorities said.
Dillon Keyl was struck by a car as he tried to cross the street in the 1500 block of South Oxnard Boulevard about 4:20 p.m. Saturday, police said.
The boy suffered severe head injuries and a possible leg fracture. He was taken to St. John’s Regional Medical Center and later transferred to the pediatric intensive care unit at Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara, where he remained Sunday.
Police are still questioning the driver, Pablito Romero Herreria, 58, of Oxnard.
