Meeting to Cover Reopening of 2 Schools

The Garden Grove Unified School District will have an informational meeting regarding the reopening of Skylark and Simmons elementary schools tonight at 7 in Faylane Elementary School’s multipurpose room, 11731 Morrie Lane.
Skylark, 11250 MacMurray St., will reopen as an elementary school in September, and Simmons, 11602 Steele Drive, will open in September 1998 to accommodate growth and reduce class sizes.
Skylark will accommodate 300 students bused from a portion of the current Heritage Elementary attendance area. Attendance boundaries at other schools with significant enrollment growth may be redrawn to complete the enrollment when Simmons reopens. Students from Clinton-Mendenhall, Riverdale and Dwight D. Eisenhower will be bused to Skylark in 1998-99.
