Model of Vietnam War Wall Set for One-Day Display

A model of the Vietnam Veterans War Memorial will be displayed in Palisades Park on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The 5-foot-high model, consisting of two panels laser-etched with names of those who died, has been traveling around the country.
“Normally, we try to display the [replica] for two days. But demand has been so high, we’re only getting Saturday,” said Bud Hayes of the Single Room Occupancy Housing Corp. of Los Angeles.
