JonBenet’s Father to Step Up Own Probe

Expressing mounting frustration with the seven-month police investigation into the death of his daughter, 6-year-old child beauty queen JonBenet Ramsey, John Ramsey said he will intensify his own probe into the Christmas-night murder in the family’s Boulder home. In a statement faxed to the media, Ramsey said he was frustrated that police have “limited their investigation . . . to me and members of my family” and that this weekend he would begin circulating through newspapers and fliers a behavioral profile of the killer developed by investigators hired by the family.
