Older Drivers Can Take AARP Course

The American Assn. of Retired Persons is offering a driving refresher course for those 55 and older next week through the Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District.
The two-day class on Monday and Tuesday costs $8 and lasts from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Upon completion of the “55 Alive” course, mature drivers may qualify for discounts on their auto insurance policies. The class does not, however, enable drivers to recertify their driver’s licenses.
The class will be held in the multipurpose room at the Sycamore Drive Community Center, 1692 Sycamore Drive, in Simi Valley.
