OUTLOOK
Van Hook spent the last two seasons as the offensive coordinator for Cerritos High and now takes over the head job for Garden Grove. With only seven returning starters, Van Hook can only hope that experience at the skill positions will help his team improve on last season’s one victory. A young, inexperienced line will be a concern for quarterback Welty and running back Stebbins and the Argonauts have only three games to prepare before opening league play against Rancho Alamitos.
SCHEDULE
Sept. 11 vs. El Modena; 19 vs. Ocean View at Westminster HS; 26 vs. Sonora at La Habra HS.
Oct. 3 vs. Rancho Alamitos at Bolsa Grande HS; 9 vs. Orange; 17 vs. Santiago; 24 vs. Bolsa Grande; 31 vs. Pacifica.
Nov. 6 vs. La Quinta at Bolsa Grande HS; 13 vs. Los Amigos.
