GARDEN GROVE — A 19-year-old man was stabbed to death Saturday, and police asked the public for help in their search for a man wanted for questioning in connection with the case.
Officers found the victim about 10 p.m. on the 12600 block of Sunswept Avenue after responding to a report of an assault, Garden Grove Police Sgt. Pat Thrasher said.
The name of the victim, who died shortly after his arrival at a local hospital, was withheld Sunday pending notification of his next of kin.
Police were unsure of the motive for the stabbing, Thrasher said.
Detectives were searching for 27-year-old Mario Luganas Flores, also known as Mario Gonzales Villa, in connection with the stabbing, Thrasher said.
Anyone with information about Villa is asked to call Garden Grove police investigators at (714) 741-5704.
