Re “Legislators Threaten Bid to Block MTA Funds,” April 18: I was surprised to learn that Eastside legislators now agree with Zev Yaroslavsky about the proposed Red Line extension to the Eastside. Apparently, after generously supporting construction of the Red, Blue and Green lines, Eastside residents should now resign themselves to another generation of riding the bus. Presumably, for being so accommodating, Eastsiders’ consolation will be they won’t have to ride at the back of the bus.
