An exhibition of paintings by American Orientalist artist Theodore N. Lukits (1897-1992), called “Spirit of the Mission,” will be displayed starting Sunday at Mission San Juan Capistrano. Lukits’ art includes dramatic portraits of Asian models and still-life renditions of Chinese and Japanese antiques.
Admission to the show, which includes the mission entrance price, is $5 for adults; $4 for seniors and children ages 3 to 12; and free for children younger than 3. Information: (949) 248-2048.
