*** 1/2 Various artists “Velvet Goldmine” soundtrack, London/ffrr. In original and remade versions, glam-rock gems by Brian Eno, T. Rex and Roxy Music crown this collection from Todd Haynes’ screen-dream of lust, libertines and the pursuit of tragedy among ‘70s glitterati. No Bowie, but no matter: Such modern acts as Shudder to Think and Grant Lee Buffalo (whose “The Whole Shebang” perfectly reflects the film’s romantic view) supply some fabulous, fairy-dusted fakes.
