Santa Monica 33, Valley 24--The Corsairs scored twice in the final three minutes, coming from behind to win a WSC South Division game at Santa Monica.
The Monarchs (4-5, 2-3) took a 24-21 lead on a 62-yard scoring pass play from Todd McLean to Shaun Avalos with 10:33 left to play.
But Santa Monica (6-3, 5-1) capitalized on a 67-yard punt return by Eugene Sykes, giving the Corsairs possession at the Valley 30 yard-line. Four plays later, Altrikii Brown scored the go-ahead touchdown on a one-yard run with 2:48 left.
