Thunder Cracks Ice Dogs

Petr Nedved scored twice to give the Las Vegas Thunder a 4-3 victory over the Long Beach Ice Dogs on Sunday night at the Long Beach Arena.
The loss snapped the Ice Dogs’ perfect 6-0 mark at home and marked the first time Las Vegas has defeated the Ice Dogs in Long Beach during the regular season.
Nedved opened scoring for Las Vegas with his seventh goal at 4:46 before Long Beach’s Darryl Williams got his eighth at 16:40 to tie the score 1-1 at the end of the first period.
The Thunder scored three consecutive second period goals when Mike Wilson found the net at 3:28 and former Ice Dog Russ Romaniuk followed suit at 3:42.
Nedved scored the game-winning goal at 7:49 in the second period.
