Deere & Co. said fiscal fourth-quarter net income fell 23% to $162.1 million, or 71 cents a share, a penny lower than estimates, as revenue fell 6.7% to $3.21 billion. Deere also said it expects demand for its farm equipment to fall 20% in North America next year. Deere and its competitors are scaling back production as slumping crop prices are leaving farmers with less money to spend on equipment.
