The City Council on Monday unanimously approved the rezoning of Lincoln Avenue, a project that has been in the works for about a year. The Rediscover Lincoln Project will change the zoning on Lincoln Avenue between Valley View and Bloomfield streets to residential and retail from light industrial and auto-service businesses. The Lincoln Avenue area has been deteriorating in the past 30 years, and city planners say they hope the rezoning will eventually attract new businesses.
