CORONA — A car carrying four teenage boys overturned on Interstate 15 early Monday, killing the driver and a passenger, the California Highway Patrol said.
The vehicle flew off a dirt embankment on the southbound lane near Ontario Avenue, flipping in midair and landing on its roof about 12:30 a.m., said a CHP dispatcher who refused to give his name.
Two 16-year-old boys in the front seat were killed. Two passengers in the back seat, ages 16 and 19, were hospitalized for undisclosed injuries, the dispatcher said.
Police have not yet determined the cause of the accident and are not releasing the victims’ names.
