Miami Dismisses Tackle

Miami defensive tackle Chad Pegues, suspended from the team’s season opener, has been dismissed from the squad for violating team rules.
Coach Butch Davis would not reveal Pegues’ infraction, but the player’s absence from Saturday night’s 66-17 victory over East Tennessee State was the second consecutive year he had missed the opener for disciplinary reasons.
