Funding Replenished to Fight Breast Cancer

EncorePLUS, a breast cancer outreach program conducted by the YWCA of North Orange County, has received a $33,750 grant from the Avon Breast Health Access Fund.
This is the fourth year that EncorePLUS has been awarded an Avon grant, which helps pay for its breast cancer education program, early detection screenings and treatment referral system.
The screenings are free to qualifying women thanks to support from Orange County’s Breast Cancer Partnership Early Detection Program and the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
Screenings include a mammogram, clinical breast exam and self-exam instructions.
Upcoming screenings include:
