The City Council recently approved the first city attorney raise since 1995. Partners at Woodruff, Spradlin & Smart will earn an hourly $145--a $25 increase over the former rate--for all transactional work. Associates, meanwhile, will earn an hourly $135--a $15 increase for transactional work and a $5 raise for litigation. And paralegals will receive a $5 increase to $80 per hour.
The approved rates will take effect Sept. 1.
