Actress Elizabeth Taylor has been admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for treatment of a back injury after falling at her home Thursday night.
According to a statement released by her publicist, Taylor, 67, suffered a compression fracture of one vertebra.
“She is in no danger from a neurological viewpoint, and she is resting comfortably,” said neurosurgeon Dr. Patrick Rhoten.
He predicted that Taylor, who has a long history of health problems, will probably require four to five weeks to recuperate. She was admitted to the Westside hospital Thursday night.
