Make sure you remove weeds on your property that could be a fire hazard or you could be given a weed abatement notice. City fire officials are on the lookout for weed-infested lots throughout the city to be included in this fall’s weed abatement program. Fire officials will present a list of properties in violation of the program at a City Council meeting next month. Property owners who receive notices will have an opportunity to appeal them at the City Council meeting Oct. 12.
