Three new palettes by two local artists won a place in the city’s holiday decoration collection.
First and third place were awarded to Joan Corman Bloch for her works titled “Red Flag at the Laguna Beach Club” and “Pomegranate With Passion Fruit.”
Second place was awarded to Erika Bauer Lemmon for “Snowman.”
Each year the city holds a design competition in which artists apply their imaginations to a 4-by-3-foot piece of wood in the shape of a painter’s palette.
The new palettes were installed on lampposts outside City Hall.
